I happily give this delightful story 5 STARS on amazon!
5.0 out of 5 stars Touching and sweet with a wonderful dose of sexy! February 13, 2015 By Audra Hart, author of Airendell & Beast Realm Chronicles “Rian” is a tale about a soul deep connection forged in childhood that withstands separation and tragedy to blossom into deep and abiding love in adulthood. Along the way you fall in love with an entire family as well as the lead characters.
Imagine meeting your soul mate on your very first day of school… at five years old. Sweet, right? It should have been, but hatred tore these two best friends and likely soulmates apart through no fault of their own. They go on to grow up and take two very different paths in life. But fortune or fate takes a hand and they reunite when Liadh O'Neil returns to her childhood home to fix it up and sell after her mother passes away.
Liadh is scarred physically and emotionally by her past. Because of this she keeps the world at arm’s length. But the sweetness and depth of her connection to her childhood best friend and his family never truly wavers. Liadh will impress you with her strength and unselfish determination to rise above the pain and help others.
Rian O’Malley never forges a meaningful connection with any of the many women who pass through his life because none of them measure up to the one who was driven away in his childhood. When Liadh comes back into his life, he fully intends to keep her close. I found Rian funny, entertaining, at times over protective and sexy as sin when he lovingly claims Liadh as his own. ** Keep your fan handy, this lovely story has some real kindle scorching scenes! **
Michelle McLoughney writes with deep insight into human nature, humor and a very basic sweetness in her spirit that colors her writing style. She skillfully draws the reader into the story. I truly enjoy her ability to weave a tale and bring the reader along for a wonderful journey. Michelle is one of the few authors who can truly make me weep… no sob like a heartbroken child! And then she turns around and makes my soul soar so high that the heights make me dizzy with joy for her characters.
I fell in love with the O’Malley clan in “Juice” and I am waiting eagerly for the next story about this wonderful family. Michelle gave an ole Southern American gal a welcome peek into family life and culture of rural Ireland. Her characters are so genuine that reading this story made me want to book a flight to Ireland to meet them in person. I will be reading this story again and highly recommend “Rian” to anyone who wants to read a touching tale, with strong characters who have overcome a great deal to find well deserved happiness.
